2025 Dog Show Trophy Donation
The 2025 Wenatchee Kennel Club (WKC) Dog Show, including Obedience and Rally Trials will be held in Cashmere this October 17, 18, 19. This event brings in Dog fanciers, Professional Handlers, Owner Exhibitors, and spectators from across America and Canada. Our show number last year was up to 1000 dogs. This three-day event is the largest income for the WKC for the year.
One of the ways to support this important event is to volunteer in person. If that is just not possible another way to support is to donate to the Trophy Fund. Attached is a link to the donation form with needed information.
There are three ways to donate. We need the donors’ name, in honor of, and kennel name if applicable.
1. General Trophy Fund – donation of any amount is appreciated.
2. Breed Specific Prizes – Support the entry of your favorite breed at this show by offering “dog related items”. Such as leash, comb, brush, etc. Specify breed, win, and day
3. Specific Trophy Donation – This is a dollar amount that is designated for a specified trophy. See the attached Form for Categories, dollar amounts and days.
In order to include your name and donation as in the 2025 Premium List and Show Catalog, your donation must be received no later than June 1, 2025.
Attached is a donation form with the information needed. Please print, fill out, and mail this form or simply email us with the needed information at nfday@msn.com.
Attached is a link for a credit/debit card payment.
Checks can be made out to Wenatchee Kennel Club and mailed to Wenatchee Kennel Club at PO Box 805 Wenatchee, WA 98807, or Contact Louise Day 509-669-6435
Your donation provides financial support to make the award of trophies for our winners possible. Thank you for all your past and continuing generosity.
WKC is grateful and gives thanks to:
Haglund’s trophies for donating Friday’s Best in Show Award
Tracy Lloyd for donating $300 for the English Springer Spaniel with highest qualifying score in Rally in memory of Dingus McGee III's love for the Wenatchee Kennel Club.
Donation Options
Training Center Expansion
Responsible pet ownership benefits everyone -- people, pets, and community.
Our Training Center provides a place for the community to learn the most effective, positive ways of training new puppies or grown dogs.
Our training classes provide mental and physical exercise for handlers and their dogs, and promotes inter-generational social engagement while encouraging healthy lifestyles and fun activities with dogs.
As of January 2025, as a result of very generous donors, Phase 1-B is complete! The “Pheasant Room” added an additional multi-purpose 1,120 square feet to our facility. This will allow for an additional training space; a meeting space that won’t interfere with classes in the larger arena; a larger crating area during trials; or whatever other use we may come up with!
On to Phase II!
Phase II will nearly double the size of our training area, allowing us to host AKC events all year long in a climate controlled environment!
Tribute Bench
Tribute Benches are available for donations of $5,000 or more to the WKC Building Fund. The Have a Seat! fundraiser was inspired by the $31,000+ donation from the Linda Potts estate. Her estate executors requested a tribute bench and worked with WKC fundraisers to choose plaque wording.
The Wenatchee Kennel Club is a vibrant organization that provides valuable services to the community by training handlers and their dogs while also providing great exercise and a wide range of competitions and services. The club’s success is the result of the generous donations of time and talents of our instructors, event volunteers, committees, board members, and monetary donations. There may be income tax advantages for monetary donations due to our 501(c)(3) status.
To order a Tribute Bench contact Tami Woolsey, 509-860-9349, or Helen Njus, 509-630-8530. Tribute Benches (above) will be ordered from PremierPolysteel. Donations will go to the WKC Building Fund, and the bench location will be determined cooperatively.
Tribute Plaques
If you donate at least $250 to Wenatchee Kennel Club, you can choose to have a tribute plaque made to honor and remember special people or pets. The plaque will be displayed on our outdoor fencing and all will be reminded of the people or pets who have been significant in your life. You can choose the text for your plaque.
Other Ways To Donate
FRED MEYER COMMUNITY REWARDS
Fred Meyer will donate a portion of your purchases to WKC through its Fred Meyer Community Rewards (FMCR) program. To link us with this, you must do the following:
1. Obtain a Fred Meyer Rewards Card. Applications are available at any Fred Meyer (or QFC) service desk.
2. Go online to www.fredmeyer.com and scroll down to COMMUNITY. Click on Community Rewards, then scroll down to Re-enroll or link your Rewards Card now.
3. Open a Fred Meyer account, then pick Wenatchee Kennel Club as your nonprofit.
Participation in the FMCR program DOES NOT affect the benefits you get from your Rewards Card. You will still earn your points and receive discounts on gas, etc.
If you have more than one Rewards Card in a household, you cannot choose more than one nonprofit because all the cards in a house are linked to one address.
AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS
If you would like to make regular automatic payments to the Wenatchee Kennel Club, you can set this up through your bank or credit union online billing program. If this option interests you, please contact your financial institution.
