As shown in the
“Membership Policy”
Of the Wenatchee Kennel Club
There are three optional tracks for membership:
1. Attend a membership meeting prior to submitting your application packet. Submit the complete packet (Application and check or cash for yearly dues) to the Membership Chairman. Your application will be presented at the next Board of Directors Meeting for review and approval. Attend a second membership meeting to be introduced to the members and your application will be presented to the general membership for final vote.
2. In lieu of attending the two meetings, you may volunteer at least 4 hours at each of two major events (tests, trials, shows, approved seminars), and other projects as determined by the Board of Directors, held by the club. Include a list of the hours and the events that you worked when submitting the application packet (application, list of hours with events, and check or cash for yearly dues). Your application will be presented at the next Board of Directors Meeting for review and final approval. You are still welcome to attend a general membership meeting.
3. Attend a membership meeting prior to submitting your application packet and volunteer 4 hours at any one major events (tests, trials, shows, approved seminars), and other projects as determined by the Board of Directors, in lieu of attending the second membership meeting. Include a list of the hours and the event that you worked when submitting the application packet (application, list of hours with event(s), and yearly dues).
All applicants for club membership must submit a completed application form to the Membership Chair. You can pay your yearly dues by check or cash or you can pay online through our website using your credit card. If you’d like to pay online, go to WenatcheeKennelclub.com then Membership then Membership Dues. Payment for yearly dues will be required before the application package is presented to the Board of Directors. After approval by the Board of Directors, the application will be voted on by the membership at the general membership meeting.
Please note the process can take a few weeks or a couple of months, however you are not a member to enjoy benefits such as reduced class fees until you have completed the process and the general membership at a general membership meeting has voted you into the Club.
Please review both the Membership Policy and the WKC Code of Ethics before submitting your Membership Application. If you have any questions or concerns, please send an e-mail to: wkc@wenatcheekennelclub.com subject Membership.
